A. The Junior City Council Meeting scheduled for Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at 7:00
p.m. will be held in person and virtually.

AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION
This is the place on the agenda where the public is invited to speak to the Board on any issue.
A. The public can participate in-person or submit written comments in advance.
Participants can submit written comments via mail, fax, or email. All written comments
must be received prior to 5:00 p.m. on the day before the scheduled meeting and must be
350 words or less.

If an individual requires accommodation to allow for remote oral comment because of a
difficulty attending a meeting of the governing body, the City requests notice of the need for
accommodation by 5:00 p.m. on the day before the scheduled meeting. Participants can
request accommodation to be able to provide a remote oral comment by contacting the
Mayor's Office in person, by phone (253) 931-3041, or by email (mbailey@auburnwa.gov).

DISCUSSION ITEMS
A. Administrative Updates
1 Thank you to those who participated in the Veterans Day Festivities.
2 Junior Council Roster is Full: All available positions are currently filled. If you are in
the process of registering, please finish the process. Also, please continue to attend
meetings. If you have questions, please reach out to Melissa Bailey.
3 Mayor's Open House: December 18th, at Auburn's Junior Achievement. A lovely
evening of food and festivities with staff, elected officials, and community members.
4 Santa Parade & Tree Lighting: December 7th, any appointed Junior Council Member
can walk in the parade. The parade happens rain or shine. Junior Council has a
banner to hold and decorate. In addition, you will receive honorable mention at the
tree lighting ceremony and join the Mayor and City Council on stage.
B. National League of Cities (NLC)
1 The NLC Congressional Conference will be in mid-March 2025. You will a few school
days. Keisha Taylor will be your chaperon. If you have any questions, please reach
out to Melissa Bailey for details.
