CONSENT AGENDA All matters listed on the ConsentAgenda are considered by the City Council to be routine and will be enacted by one motion in the form listed. A. Approval of January 10th, 2024 Minutes Motion: Member Romero-Caldera; Second: Member Muhsen- passed V. COMMITTEE REPORTS/EVENTS VI. DISCUSSION ITEMS A. Kelly Murry to Discuss The Rec and Auburn's Youth Council Kelly Murray is the Teen Center Supervisor at Auburn's Parks & Recreation is here to discuss The REC and Auburn's Youth Council. Kelly Murray updated the council about the Parks, Arts & Recreation's teen center The Rec and Auburn's Youth Council. The AJCC and AYC will have a joint meeting on Wednesday, February 21 at the regularly scheduled meeting Page 2 of 8 B. Co -Presentation to City Council AJ CC and Auburn's youth council to present to City Council on February 5th. Chair Helms asked for volunteers to help with the co -Presentation to City Council from the Auburn Junior City Council and Auburn Parks Youth Council to present to City Council on Monday, February 5. Emily Helms, Osiris Romero-Caldera, Patricia Amadeo and Lawand Muhsen will present alongside Director Hinman C. Upcoming Events Mayor's State of the City on February 29th, at the Muckleshoot Convention Center Clean Sweep on April 20th, starts at the Community and Event Center Mayor's State of the City on February 29, at the Muckleshoot Convention Center. Update from Deputy Mayor Larry Brown DM Brown updated the council on the City's Racial Equity Diverse and Inclusive (REDI) work programs currently underway; the current topics in front of the city council: police update, capital projects update, engineering design standards review, ordinance on acquiring property to improve the roadway on Auburn Way S; DM Brown shared that Mayor Backus appreciates the work of the council and would like to visit a future meeting. Chair Helms thanked DM Brown for the RED work and is glad the City of Auburn is doing it. VII.
