A. Roll Call Present: Emily Helms, Patricia Amadeo, Mikaela Pedraja, Osiris Romero- Caldera, Khysner Ghein Ayo, Savannah Lueck, Lewand Muhsen, Nnamdi Ometu Absent: None Staff present: Deputy Mayor Larry Brown; Keisha Taylor Guest: Auburn Youth Council and Gianna Gargiulo from KCLS II. ANNOUNCEMENTS, PROCLAMATIONS, AND PRESENTATIONS III. AGENDA MODIFICATIONS IV. CONSENT AGENDA All matters listed on the Consent Agenda are considered by the City Council to be routine and will be enacted by one motion in the form listed. A. Approval of January 24th, 2024 Minutes Motion: Khysner Ghein Ayo; Second: Member Musen- passed. V. COMMITTEE REPORTS/EVENTS VI. DISCUSSION ITEMS A. AJCC Pictures Jonathan Glover coming to take photos of Team AJCC Completed at the beginning and after meeting. B. Welcome Auburn Youth Council AYC and AJCC introduced themselves. Chair Helms mentioned there are spots available on AJCC and four are graduating, tell your friends. Open to Page 2 of 2 future collaborations. C. Gianna Gargiulo from KCLS Gianna Gargiulo is the Teen Services Librarian from KCLS to discuss future collaborations. Gianna presented to AJCC. Wants to collaborate in the future with AJCC and AYC. D. Update from February 12th Presentation to City Council Update from AJCC presented to City Council on Monday, February 12th. Discussed the presentation made to City Council. City Council provided support and words of encouragement. E. Update from Deputy Mayor Larry Brown Discussed Cities & Schools Task Force board with AJCC, email Deputy Mayor any questions regarding Cities & Schools Task Force regarding issues and solutions for at risk youths pertaining to Opioid Epidemic. Deputy Mayor explained the upcoming Leadership Retreat for Auburn's future vision and budgeting. Discussed Washington Award for Vocational Excellence Scholarship and apprenticeship opportunities, there are 147 available across the state. F. Event Updates Mayor's State of the City on Thursday, February 29th, rsvp to Melissa. AJCC Members going to NLC in D.C. for conference, no meeting on Wednesday March 13th Chair Helms mentioned upcoming events VII. ADJOURNMENT Meeting adjourned at 7:28pm.
