CALL TO ORDER
Chair Helms called the meeting to order at 6:04 p.m.
A. Roll Call
Present: Chair Emily Helms; Prableen Kaur; Lawand Muhsen; Osiris
Romero-Caldera; Rowan Santos; Patricia Amadeo; Nnamdi Ometu.
Absent: Vice Chair KhysnerAyo; Savannah Lueck.
Staff present: Director of Administration Dana Hinman.
Guests: LillyAnn Mertens, AJCC applicant; Erica Rios.
11. CONSENT AGENDA
All matters listed on the Consent Agenda are considered by the City Council to be
routine and will be enacted by one motion in the form listed.
A. Approve June 12, 2024 Minutes
Approve June 12, 2024 Minutes: Motion: Member Muhsen; Second:
Member Amadeo - approved.
III. DISCUSSION ITEMS
A. Junior City Council Recruitment
Junior City Council to discuss continuation of recruitment and the five open seats for
the upcoming year
B. Administrative Updates
Administrative Assistant Bailey to discuss providing updates during the summer
months regarding events and community engagement opportunities
Melissa will reach out during the summer months regarding events and
community engagement opportunities.
C. Update from Director Hinman
Director Hinman to provide special thanks to outgoing graduating members, and
discuss the importance of recruitment

Director Hinman reminded the group to look for messages from Melissa
over the summer and inquired about the future plans of the outgoing
seniors. Member Romero-Caldera will be going to Stanford to study
political science and law with a goal of becoming a lawyer; Member
Amadeo will be attending the University of Washington to study biology and
pursue a career in the sciences; Chair Helms will be attending Harvard to
study neuroscience to eventually become a neuroscientist.
IV. ADJOURNMENT
Chair Helms adjourned the meeting at 6:11 p.m.
