A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DESIGNATING THE PERSON
SERVING IN THE POSITION OF THE SANITARY SEWER
ENGINEER AND PERSON SERVING IN THE POSITION OF
THE UTILITIES ENGINEERING MANAGER AS
REPRESENTATIVES TO SERVE ON THE METROPOLITAN
WATER POLLUTION ABATEMENT ADVISORY
COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, RCW 35.58.210 provides that each metropolitan municipal
corporation authorized to perform water pollution abatement shall establish a Metropolitan
Water Pollution Abatement Advisory Committee (MWPAAC) to be composed of
representatives of each component city and county within such metropolitan municipal
corporation; and
WHEREAS, RCW 35.58.210 further provides that the function of the MWPAAC
shall be to advise the metropolitan council in matters relating to wastewater and
wastewater treatment, and
WHEREAS, RCW 35.58.210 further provides that the legislative body of each
component city and county shall appoint its member representative; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it to be in the best interest of the City to be
represented at MWPAAC by means of a representative and one or more alternate
representatives; and
WHEREAS, in 2014, through Resolution 5108, the City Council Public Works
Committee appointed a representative and an alternate representative to serve on the
MWPAAC, and

WHEREAS, the City Council desires to change the designated representative to
be the person serving in the position of the City's Sanitary Sewer Engineer and the
alternate representative to be the person serving in the position of the City's Utilities
Engineering Manager;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, RESOLVES as follows:
Section 1. The City Council is hereby authorized to appoint the person serving
in the position of the City's Sanitary Sewer Engineer as the City of Auburn's representative
and the person serving in the position of the City's Utilities Engineering Manager as the
alternate representative to the MWPAAC, and their successors, repealing Resolution No.
5108.
Section 2. The Mayor is authorized to implement those administrative
procedures necessary to carry out the directives of this legislation.
Section 3. This Resolution will take effect and be in full force on passage and
signatures.
