HomeMy WebLinkAbout5822RESOLUTION NO.5822 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AND ADMINISTER AGREEMENTS ACCEPTING SUPPLEMENTAL GRANT FUNDS FROM THE WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND FEDERAL HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION FOR THREE PROJECTS: 1) AUBURN WAY S WIDENING (HEMLOCK STREET SE TO POPLAR STREET SE); 2) 1 ST STREET NE/NW AND N DIVISION STREET PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS; AND 3) , A STREET SE PRESERVATION (37TH STREET SE TO LAKELAND HILLS WAY) WHEREAS, the City applied for, and has been awarded, supplemental grant funding for three projects (Projects) that will design and construct improvements to the City's transportation systems; WHEREAS, the Projects are included in the City's Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) as follows: 1) Auburn Way S Widening (Hemlock Street SE to Poplar Street SE)(R-4) 2) 1st Street NE/NW and N Division Street Pedestrian Improvements (N-5) 3) A Street SE Preservation (37th Street SE to Lakeland Hills Way)(P-10); and WHEREAS, the total supplemental grant funding awarded for the Projects is approximately $3,117,063. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, RESOLVES as follows: Section 1. The Mayor is authorized to execute and administer three grant agreements with the Washington State Department of Transportation for a total of $3,117,063 or any other amount authorized by WSDOT for the Projects. Resolution No. 5822 April 7, 2025 Page 1 Section 2. The Mayor is authorized to negotiate, enter, and administer agreements to spend the grant funds for the Projects, and to implement other administrative procedures necessary to carry out the directives of this legislation. Section 3. That this Resolution shall take effect and be in full force on passage and signatures. Dated and Signed this 21St day of April, 2025.
