AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASITINGTON, AMENDING SECTION 9 OF
ORDINANCE NO. 940 AND SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 976 of ORDINNANCES
OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WHICH ORDINANCES RELATE TO GARBAGE AND WASTE
MATTERS, THE A,ARDING AND LETTING OF CONTRACTS FOR THE COLLECTION,
TILE REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL THEREOF, AND PRESCRIBING TIE AMOUNTS AND
METHODS OF PAYMENT, MAKING TILE USE OF THE SYSTEM COMPULSORY UPON
ALL OF THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, AND PRESCRIBING PENALTIES
FOR ITS VIOLATIONS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That Section 9 of Ordinance No. 940 and Section 1 of
Ordinance No. 976 of the Ordinances of the City of Auburn are herewith
amended so as when amended said Section 9 of Ordinance No. 940 and
Section 1 of Ordinance No. 976 shall read as follows:
"Section 9. The monthly rate to be charged by the City shall be as
follows:
For two (2) cans of garbage emptied once a week -- eighty-five cents
(850) per month;
For one (1) can of garbage emptied twice a week -- $1.30 per month;
For one (1) can of garbage emptied three times each week -- $ 1.60
per month;
For sunken garbage cans there _shall be an additional charge of ten
cents (10¢) for each pickup;
For additional cans there shall be an additional charge of ten cents
(100) per can per pickup for ordinary cans, and ten cents(10¢) per
can per pickup for sunken garbage cans.
There shall be a minimum monthly garbage collection charge of
eighty-five cents (850) for each occupied dwelling.
The rate schedules established by this section shall become effective
purposes
for billing/on February 29, 1960. "
Section 2. This ordinance shall become effective five (5) days
from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
