HomeMy WebLinkAbout1832ORDINANCE NO. 1832 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DECLARING A PUBLIC EMER- GENCY TO EXIST AND APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF TWO THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS ($2,800.00) FROM UNBUDGETED FUNDS IN THE CURRENT EXPENSE FUND OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, TO THE GARBAGE ACCOUNT IN THE MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION CLASS, GENERAL GOVERNMENT DIVISION, OF THE CURRENT EXPENSE FUND BUDGET, TO PROVIDE NECESSARY FUNDS FOR THE PAYMENT OF GARBAGE COL- LECTION SERVICES FOR THE BALANCE OF THE YEAR 1965. WHEREAS, the sum appropriated for the payment of garbage collection charges for the City of Auburn in the 1965 budget is insufficient to pay for the amount of services presently required for the remainder of the calendar year 1965; and, WHEREAS, a public emergency now exists due to the fact that insufficient funds have been appropriated for the payment of such services, due to an unanticipated increase in the volume of collections, not forseen by the City Council at the time the 1965 budget was prepared and approved; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. There is hereby appropriated the sum of two thousand eight hundred dollars ($2,800.00) from unbudgeted funds in the Current Expense Fund of the City of Auburn to the Maintenance and Operations Class, General Government Division, Current Expense Fund budget, in order to provide neces- sary funds for the payment of the garbage collection:,services of the city for the remainder of the calendar year 1965. Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to make the neces- sary appropriation outlined hereinabove in Section 1 of this ordinance. Section 3. That this ordinance shall take effect five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law. IJE, (\ City Clem!
