ORDINANCE NO. 1992
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBU2N,'WASHINGTON, DECLARING A PUBLIC EMERGENCY TO EXIST AND
APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $1,724.50 FROM UNBUDGETED FUNDS IN THE CURRENT EXPENSE FUND;
THE SUM OF $6,600.00 FROM UNBUDGETED FUNDS IN THE CURRENT EXPENSE FUND FOR THE GARBAGE
SERVICE ACCOUNT, GENERAL GOVERNMENT DIVISION, CURRENT EXPENSE FUND, TO PROVIDE NECES-
SARY FUNDS FOR THE PAYMENT OF CERTAIN MUNICIPAL OBLIGATIONS OF THE CITY OF AUBURN AND
FOR THE OPERATION OF CERTAIN ACCOUNTS IN THE 1966 BUDGET OF THE CITY OF AUBURN.
WHEREAS, the City Council has retained the firm of Clark, Coleman S Rupeiks to per-
form certain services for the city relative to the existing zoning code of the city and
with further reference to a zoning appeal recently prosecuted against the city; and,
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the Garbage Service Account, General Government
Division, Current Expense Fund, requires additional funds to operate said account for the
balance of the calendar year 1966 due to increased business and receipts from the garbage
service operation occasioned by the unexpected growth of the city during the calendar
year 1966; and
WHEREAS, a public emergency now exists due to the fact that the amounts required
for the above appropriations were not anticipated at the time the 1966 Budget was prepared
and approved;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That there is hereby appropriated from unbudgeted funds in the Current
Expense Fund of the City of Auburn the sum of $1,724.50 for the payment of certain pro-
fessional services due the firm of Clark, Coleman & Rupeiks outlined hereinabove.
Section 2. That there is hereby appropriated from unbudgeted funds in the Current
Expense Fund of the City of Auburn the sum of $6,600.00 to the Garbage Service Account,
General Government Division, Current Expense Fund of the city, to provide necessary funds
for the operation of said fund during the remainder of the calendar year 1966.
Section 3. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directld to make the neees-
nary appropriations outlined hereinabove in Sections I and 2 of this ordinance.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall take effect five (5) days from and after its
passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
