HomeMy WebLinkAbout976ORDINANCE NO. P 4 AN ORDINANCE NCE A1,1EENDING SECTION39 and 10 of ORDINANCE NO. 940 OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF AUBURN. THE CITY COUNCIL U OF THE CITY OF AUBURN DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That Section 9 of Ordinance No. 940 of the Ordinances of the City of Auburn is herewith amended, so that, as amended said Section 9 shall read as follows: "Section 9. The monthly rate to be charged by the City shall be as follows: For can.7of garbage emptied once a week, eighty-five ( 850 ) cents per month; 0 For one (1) can of garbage emptied twice a week, $1.30 per month; For one (1) can of garbage eiiptied three times each week, `1.60 per month; For sunken garbage C#' s there shall be an additional charge of ten (100)Ar 6r each pickup; For additional cans -.�here shall be an additonal charge S of ten cents (I0 (� , ,) e, ;74per can per pickup for ordinary cans, and ten (100) cents per can per pickup for sunken gar- bage cans; There shall be a minimum monthly garbage collection CD charge of eighty-five (85fl cents for each occupied dwelling. In the event the charges set forth herein are paid on or before the same date the water bill is due for the same premises, there shall be a discount allowed of twentir-five ( 250 ) cents." Section 2. That Section 10 of Ordinance No. 940 of the Ordinances of the City of Auburn is herewith amended, so that, as amended said Section 10 shall read as follows: "Section 10. All charges shall be due and payable at the office of the City Treasurer at the same time the water bill for such premises shall become due. If said charges for such garbage shall become delinquent and remain so for sixty (60) days or more, a lien shall att-ach against the property from which the account accrued, to be enforced in proceedings similar to those employed in liens for labor and materials."
