APPROVAL OF MINUTES A. Approval of May 6th 2025 Minutes Vice-chairperson Mike Palko-Dean moved and board member John Boatman seconded to approve the May 6th, 2025 Park Board Meeting minutes. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY 6-0 ANNOUNCEMENTS, REPORTS, AND PRESENTATIONS A. WRPA Cedar Lanes Bike award - Director Julie Krueger Director Julie Krueger presented to the board about the Cedar Lanes Bike award that the Parks Department received from the Washington Recreation and Parks Association. This award was received at the WRPA conference in mid-May of this year. B. Cascade Bicycle grant award - Director Julie Krueger Parks Director Julie Krueger presented to the Park Board the Cascade Bicycle grant award that the Parks department received. This is a state grant from the Department of Transportation. DISCUSSION ITEMS A. Timeline for theater park development - Park Planning Manager Thaniel Gouk Park Planning Manager Thaniel Gouk presented the Auburn Downtown Infrastructure update for Phase 1. Design began in 2023 and construction begins in 2025. The capacity of the new theater is larger than the previous theater, an increase to about 300 people that can be seated in the theater. July Parks and Recreation Month Update - Parks ❑irector Julie Krueger Parks Director Julie Krueger updated the Park Board on marketing plans and strategies for the upcoming July Parks and Recreation month. The National Recreation and Parks Association does an annual national campaign for Parks and Recreation Month in July. Administrative Assistant Alexa Bragg is waiting to hear from the Mayor's office regarding the date of the City Council meeting that the Parks and Recreation Month proclamation will be read at. NEW BUSINESS Auburn Mountainvew Cemetery was awarded L&I START award for safety ADJOURNMENT Chair-person Matt Jennings moved to adjourn the Park Board meeting at 5:53pm APPROVE❑ this day of 2024.
