SKHHP Executive Meeting
December 16, 2022
MINUTES
I. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Nancy Backus called the virtual meeting to order at 1:03 PM.
a. ROLL CALL/ESTABLISHMENT OF QUORUM
Executive Board members present: Executive Board members present: Nancy
Backus, City of Auburn; Colleen Brandt-Schluter, City of Burien; Joseph Cimaomo, City
of Covington; Traci Buxton, City of Des Moines; Sarah Bridgeford, City of Federal Way;
Merina Hanson, City of Kent; Eric Zimmerman, City of Normandy Park; Ryan McIrvin,
City of Renton; Sunaree Marshall, King County; Cynthia Delostrinos Johnson, City of
Tukwila; De’Sean Quinn, City of Tukwila; Sean Kelly, City of Maple Valley.
Other attendees: Angela San Filippo, SKHHP; Dorsol Plants, SKHHP; Laurel

II. REVIEW AGENDA/AGENDA MODIFICATIONS
No agenda modifications.
III. APPROVAL OF NOVEMBER 18, 2022, MINUTES
Joseph Ciamomo moved to approve the November 18th, 2022 minutes as presented; Sean
Kelly seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously (11-0).
IV. NEW BUSINESS
a. 2022 SKHHP HOUSING CAPITAL FUND RECOMMENDED ALLOCATIONS
Angela San Filippo, Maju Qureshi, and Andrew Calkins presented the SKHHP Advisory
Board’s recommendation for the 2022 Housing Capital Fund.
SKHHP Advisory Board recommended fully funding both the Mercy Housing Northwest
requested amount of 1,093,308 and Habitat for Humanity SKKC requested amount of
$300,000. A total funding recommendation of $1,393,308.
Joseph Ciamomo moved to approve the SKHHP Advisory Board Capital Fund
recommendations and move forward to member City Councils; Cynthia Delostrinos
Johnson seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously (11-0)

b. 2023 EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING SCHEDULE
Nancy Backus reviewed the 2023 Executive Board meeting schedule and opened the
floor for discussion on continuing the meeting virtually or transitioning to a hybrid
meeting model.
Discussion occurred around meeting in-person, but with gradual transition, four
meetings in 2023 being in-person and eight being virtual. A desire to focus the in-person
meetings on topics and discussions better handled face to face was expressed.
Additional discussion occurred around providing a hybrid meeting option to
accommodate those with continuing health concerns.
Joseph Ciamomo moved to approve the 2023 Executive Board meeting schedule with a
quarterly in-person meeting option, Sunaree Marshel seconded the motion. (11-0)
V. Executive Session
Consistent with RCW 42.30.120(g), to evaluate the qualifications of an applicant for public
employment
Ryan McIrvin nominated Hannah Bahnmiller for the position of Executive Manager of
SKHHP
Eric Zimmerman nominated Claire Goodwin for the position of Executive Manager of
SKHHP
Nomination of Hannah Bahnmiller received 5 votes (Burien, Covington, King County,
Renton, Tukwila)
Nomination of Claire Goodwin received 6 votes (Auburn, Normandy Park, Federal Way,
Kent, Des Moines, Maple Valley)
Nancy Backus spoke highly of the qualifications of both candidates and confirmed that the
City of Auburn would move forward with making an offer to Claire Goodwin.
VI. UPDATES/ANNOUNCEMENTS
Executive Board acknowledged the importance of Angela San Filippo’s contributions to
the success of SKHHP
VII. ADJOURN
Nancy Backus adjourned the meeting at 3:00 pm
