APPROVAL OF MINUTES A. Approval of June 3, 2025 Minutes Commissioners are asked to review minutes for the June 3, 2025 meeting. Commissioner Rocky Salvador moved that the minutes be accepted as written. Commissioner John Harris seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously. DISCUSSION ITEMS A. Auburn Downtown Park Public Art Project Update Arts Program Supervisor Allison Hyde provides an update on the Downtown Public Art project. The selection committee, comprised of contractors, the landscape architects, and arts commissioners, voted for John Fleming to collaborate with landscape architects and create a unique piece of public art to incorporate in the new development. Hyde provides examples of Fleming's other public art projects in the region, and explains the reason for his selection. B. 2024-25 Sculpture Gallery People's Choice Award Arts Supervisor Allison Hyde announces the people's choice winner for the 2024-25 Sculpture Gallery season, Jill Drllevich's sculpture titled "Balance" with 39 total votes out of 102. ACTION ITEMS A. 2024-25 Sculpture Gallery Purchase Award Arts Supervisor Allison Hyde presents the sculpture options for purchase out of the 2024-25 gallery season. Commissioners were given the option of not purchasing an artwork for the permanent collection from this year's pool. Commissioners, in the interest of saving space for previously purchased artworks, discussed possible locations for sculptures already in our public art collection. Commissioners came to agreement that a sculpture would not be purchased from this year's pool. Motion to not purchase a sculpture made by Commissioner Rocky Salvador, seconded Page 5 of 43 by Commissioner Carol Smetheram. Motion passed unanimously. ADJOURNMENT Meeting is adjourned at 5:17pm.
