CALL TO ORDER
Chair Lawand Muhsen called the meeting to order at 7:03pm.
PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
The meeting was held in person and virtually.
ROLL CALL
Members: Phia Chea, Lanya Muhsen, Lawand Muhsen, Erica Rios, Giovanni Russo,
Rowan Santos.
Staff: Keisha Taylor
Absent: Hakima Abdikadir, Erica Chen, Prableen Kaur, Mikaela Pedraja, Nazli
Shamdeen.
AGENDA MODIFICATIONS
There were no modifications to the agenda.
PUBLIC COMMENT
No one came forward to speak.
DISCUSSION ITEMS
A. Sub-Committee Updates
Erica reported on a voting project to improve the voting percentage in Auburn,
specifically targeting high school seniors and college students. Lawand reported on
RCW for kids being underpaid and how to connect with staff. Rowan discussed public
art for youth diversity, partnering with the Youth Arts Showcase for an open mic night,
shot films, and spoken word poetry. Discussed how to use posters and signs to address
any issues' youths have concerns regarding the Arts as Advocacy Campaign.
Possibilities to foster youth art therapy, and how to allocate art supplies via a drive
talked about as well.

A. Approve Minutes from the February 11, 2026, Junior Council Meeting
Erica Rios moved to approve the February 11, 2026, meeting minutes; Vice-Chair
Santos seconded; the motion passed.
ADJOURNMENT
Chair Lawand Muhsen adjourned the meeting at 7:24pm.
