CALL TO ORDER
Chair Rottle called the meeting to order at 1:03 p.m. in the City Hall Annex Conference
Room 2, 1 East Main Street.
ROLL CALL
Committee Members present: John Rottle, Ronnie Roberts, Giovanni DiQuattro, Rachel
Perry
Committee Members absent: Darren Jones, Trevor S. , Bill Cowart
Staff present: Jenn Francis
PUBLIC COMMENT
Chair Rottle thanked Giovanni and Rachel for their service on the BIA committee. This
meeting marks the last meeting of their participation on the board.
No other public comment.
ANNOUNCEMENTS, REPORTS, AND PRESENTATIONS
A. 2025 Year End Financial Report
Jenn provided 2025 year end report noting $3,869.92 still available to use prior to end
of year.
The board discussed the allocation of $3,869.92 in unused funds from 2025 budget. It
was decided by the board to use the funds to reimburse the DAC for costs incurred
rather than returning the amount to the general funds.
A motion was made to approve the allocation of$3,869.92 to be used specifically for
DAC-related expenses during the specified timeframe of Oct, Nov, Dec 2025.
Committee Member Giovanni DiQuattro moved and Committee Member Rachel Perry
seconded to approve Allocation of end of year funds from BIA budget for $3,869.92.
B. Downtown Auburn Cooperative 2026 Contract - $70,000
Committee Member Giovanni DiQuattro moved and Committee Member Rachel Perry
seconded to approve DAC BIA Contract funding of $70,000.00 for 2026.
DISCUSSION ITEMS
A. Financial Request from City of Auburn Legal Dept for $21,000 for the
Downtown Cleanup Helpers
Motion was changed to fund downtown cleanup helpers to $20,000.00 from the BIA for
2026.
Committee Member Giovanni DiQuattro moved and Committee Member Rachel Perry
seconded to approve Financial Request for $20,000 for downtown cleanup .
B. Update from DAC on 2025 Fall Events
Cheryl provided update from 2025 DAC Fall events.
BIA discussed that their funds cannot be used to financially support events outside of
the BIA area such as Petpalooza.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Business Improvement Area
Committee, the meeting was adjourned at 2:06 p.m.
