CALL TO ORDER
Chair Lawand Muhsen called the meeting to order at 7:04pm.
PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
This meeting was held in person and virtually.
ROLL CALL
Members: Hakima Abdikadir, Phia Chea, Prableen Kaur, Lanya Muhsen, Lawand
Muhsen, Erica Rios, Giovanni Russo, Rowan Sanos
Staff: Jonathan Glover, Angelina Pogosian
Absent: Erica Chen, Mikaela Pedraja, Nazli Shamdeen
AGENDA MODIFICATIONS
There were no modifications to the agenda.
PUBLIC COMMENT
No one came forward to speak.
ANNOUNCEMENTS, REPORTS, AND PRESENTATIONS
A. Administrative Updates
Chair Lawand read the administrative updates.
1 City Clean Sweep: April 18, from 9:OOam-12:00pm. Please let Breanne
know if you are interested in volunteering, or if you have any questions.
Several AJCC members expressed interest in attending the Clean Sweep event.
DISCUSSION ITEMS
A. Introductions — new city staff involvement both long and short term.
Jonathan Glover and Angee Pogosian introduced themselves to the AJCC and
their role overseeing the council for the time being.
B. Project Updates
Council member Chea discussed community event support that AJCC could potentially
be involved in, such as Kids Day. Proposed a few ideas about partnering with local
businesses to offer community services.
C. Open Discussion
AJCC members discussed a desire to understand the current budget for future
planning.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Chair Muhsen moved to approve the March 11, 2026, meeting minutes; Vice-Chair
Santos seconded; the motion passed.
A. Approve Minutes from March 11, 2026, Junior Council Meeting.
ADJOURNMENT
Chair Muhsen adjourned the meeting at 7:55 PM.
