CONSENT AGENDA A. Project C412B0 - Auburn Bird Viewing Tower (McLain – 5 minutes) Summary: Approve change order and a total project increase to Contract 08-21 with contractor C. Tucker LLC, for enhancement of ADA accessibility to the Auburn Bird Viewing Tower, including railings and ramp for first level platform. IV. ACTION No Items V. DISCUSSION A. Citizen Survey (Hinman - 20 minutes) Summary: Review questions developed by staff and consultant. B. Proposed Code Changes – 13.32, Underground Wiring (Gaub – 15 minutes) Summary: Policy direction for code revisions to allow greater flexibility for smaller and in-fill development related to the undergrounding of overhead utility facilities. C. Code Update Project (Andersen/Snyder - 30 minutes) Summary: a. Overview of key code update issues; summary of testimony and recommendations from the May 5, 2009 Planning Commission public hearing for the proposed amendments to Title 17 and Title 18 of the Auburn City Code. b. Discussion of draft design standards for multi-family and mixed-use residential developments. D. Population Targets (Baker – 20 minutes) Summary: Discussion of population and housing targets to be used in revision of the countywide planning policies (CPP’s) in 2010 and eventually the update of the City’s comprehensive plan. The Growth Management Policy Council (GMPC) is considering target updates in its 2009 work plan that covers the 20-year period of 2011-2031. King County cities last updated their plans in 2004. The city’s required Growth Management Act (GMA) 7-year update is scheduled for 2011. Updating growth targets now, gives the City adequate time to plan for future growth in the 2011 GMA update and align with Vision 2040. VI. INFORMATION A. Director’s Official Decisions and Report B.
