PLANNING DEPARTMENT REPORT
PUBLIC HEARING
Amendments to Auburn City Code Chapter 18.04, 18.45, and 18.48 regarding allowable fence
heights. The proposed changes will allow taller fences in side street and side yards and along
rear property lines when they abut a street, plus allow for taller wrought-iron or chain-link fences
within front yards. These changes will affect all zones within the City of Auburn.

ADJOURNMENT
The City of Auburn Planning Commission is a seven member advisory body that provides
recommendations to the Auburn City Council on the preparation of and amendments to land use plans
and related codes such as zoning. Planning Commissioners are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed
by the City Council.
Actions taken by the Planning Commission are not final decisions; they are in the form of
recommendations to the City Council who must ultimately make the final decision.
