City Council introduce and adopt Ordinance No. 5711.
Background Summary:
Ordinance No. 5711 approves Street Vacation Request V-04-02 from Rodarte Construction requesting a
portion of 151s~ Avenue East, located East of East Valley Highway. A public hearing was held on their
request on December 2, 2002. This item went back to the Public Works Committee on February 24, 2003
for consideration.
The right-of-way was purchased on April 26, 1924 by Pierce County in the amount of $1,000.00
(AF#711122). The value, based on adjacent land assessments, is $22,767.33. According to RCW 35.79
and ACC 12.48 compensation may be required in an amount equal to the full appraised value of the area
vacated.
