MINUTES
CITY OF AUBURN
FINANCE COMMITTEE
APRIL 7, 2003
CALL TO ORDER
Chair Fred Poe called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM in the Council
Conference Room located on the first floor of Auburn City Hall, 25 West
Main Street, Auburn, WA, 98001. Chair Poe, Vice Chair Jeanne Barber,
and Member Gene Cerino were present. Also present during the meeting
were: Mayor Peter B. Lewis, Finance Director Shelley Coleman, City
Attorney Daniel B. Heid, and City Clerk Danielle Daskam. Ms. Lynn
Norman was also present.
II. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A. Minutes of the March 17, 2003 Finance Committee meeting.
B. Correction to the April 16, 2001 Finance Committee minutes, page
3 to correct the sequence of claims check numbers to read as
follows:
Claims check numbers 390413 300198 through
300560 in the amount of $2,746,800.32 dated April
16, 2001 and wire transfer in the amount of
$1,121,046.77.
C. Correction to the November 19, 2001 Finance Committee minutes,
page 5 to correct the sequence of claims check number to read as
follows:
Claims check numbers 305618 305820 through
306218 in the amount of $2,979,270.58 and dated
November 19, 2001 and wire transfer in the amount of
$506,698.81.
Motion by Vice Chair Barber, second by Member Cerino to approve the
minutes and corrections.

III. CONSENT ITEMS

Payroll check numbers 503683 to 503835 in the amount of
$280,760.25 and electronic deposit transmissions in the
amount of $854,394.37 for a grand total of $1,135,154.62 for
the pay period covering March 14, 2003 to April 2, 2003.
B. Surplus Property

1 — 30" x 60" computer desk

Committee members reviewed the consent items and briefly discussed
claims vouchers numbers 319328 and 319412.
Motion by Member Cerino, second by Vice Chair Barber to approve the
consent items.
MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. 3-0.
IV. ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS
There was no ordinance or resolution for review.
V. DISCUSSION ITEMS
Finance Director Coleman announced that the complete budget document
would be available on the Internet within the next month. In addition, she
is preparing a "budget in brief' document" which summarizes the budget
document.
Ms. Coleman reported that the contract with the recommended
Government Access Cable TV vendor, MCSI, should be available for
Committee review at the next meeting.
VI. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:38 PM.
