City Council to grant permission to advertise for bids for Project No. C225A Oravetz Road Slope Repair
and Guardrail.
Back.qround Summary:
The project is the result of slope destabilization and safety concerns along Oravetz Road between Kersey
and Kennedy roads. The project will construct guardrail along the entire outside slope and stabilize/repair
a two-hundred-foot-long slope between Oravetz Road and the White River Trail. The recommended
project is the result of a geotechnical study of the area performed in 2002 and recent slope failures over
the past two years.
Estimated construction start is mid-August with work concluding in late September.
This project has been included in the 2003 budget for the 102 Arterial Street Fund.
