Back,qround Summary: The Olson Canyon Farm, as part of the Auburn Parks and Recreation Department property, has leased land to the owner of a mobile home on its grounds in exchange for services as a resident caretaker. The person living in the mobile home is responsible for assisting staff with the grounds maintenance and opening or closing for guests. In addition, this person will function as the after-hours contact for Police, Fire, etc., and monitor the grounds for vandalism. He/she will provide 20 hours weekly to the care and maintenance of the grounds. The previous residents, Tina and Michael Brewster-Wray tendered their resignation and Mr. Flewelling, a member of the Museum volunteers, a part-time Museum employee with a historical interest in the property, has agreed to perform the same caretaker duties. Mr. Flewelling will pay all utilities; all state, county, and city taxes associated with the mobile home; and will be responsible for some of the caretaker duties.
