Background Summary:
The advance travel fund is used to make payments or reimbursements to officers and employees for
official expenditures incurred during travel as set forth in ACC 2.54.030. The fund amount was last
amended in 1990 and staff requests an increase from $2,000.00 to $5,000.00 at this time.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING CHAPTER 2.54 OF THE AUBURN CITY CODE TO
INCREASE THE ADVANCE TRAVEL EXPENSE REVOLVING
FUND FROM $2,000.00 TO $5,000.00.
WHEREAS, the advance travel expense revolving fund was established
to
employees for official expenditures as set forth in ACC 2.54.030; and
WHEREAS, the advance travel expense revolving fund has been
periodically amended to account for the needs of the city; and
WHEREAS, the City of Auburn deems it necessary to increase the
advance travel expense revolving fund from $2,000.00 to $5,000.00.
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

AUTHORIZED OFFICIALS EXPENSES
Section:
2.54.080 Advance travel expense revolving fund - Created -
Custodian - Amount.
A revolving working fund to be known as the "advance travel
expense revolving fund" is hereby created by the city, and the city clerk
is designated the custodian thereof; and further, the amount to originally
fund said fund is herewith determined to be $2,00055,000.00. (Ord. 4459
§ 1, 1990; Ord. 3448 § 1, 1979; 1957 code § 1.21.050.)

Section 2. Implementation. The Mayor is hereby authorized to
implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out
the directives of this legislation.
Section 3. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and publication as
provided by law.
