Background Summary: Ordinance No. 5812 amends Auburn City Code 10.36.300 entitled "Prohibited parking areas — Northwest Auburn" to eliminate parking on 44th Street Northwest north side, beginning at a point 155 feet east of the east curbline of D Street Northwest, thence easterly to a point 212 feet east. This parking change would allow safe truck movement in and out of the abutting business. Staff has notified the two affected businesses of the proposed change. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN as follows: Section 1. Amendment of City Code. That Section 10.36.300 ACC is amended to read as follows: 10.36.300 Prohibited parking areas — Northwest Auburn. Northwest Auburn prohibited parking areas are as follows: 1st Street Northwest, north side, from the west curbline of North Division Street, thence west to the first alley west of North Division Street. 2nd Street Northwest, south side, beginning at the west curbline of "A" Street Northwest, and thence extending west to the east Burlington Northern Railway right-of- way line. 2nd Street Northwest, north side, beginning at the west curbline of "A" Street Northwest, and thence extending west a distance of 60 feet. 3rd Street Northwest, both sides, between the east curbline of "C" Street Northwest and Ordinance No. 5812 November 25, 2003 Page 1 the west curbline of North Division Street. 3rd Street Northwest, both sides, between the west curbline of "C" Street Northwest and the east curbline of "D" Street Northwest. 14th Street Northwest, north and south sides, beginning at a point where the centerline of North Division, when extended northerly, intersects 14th Street. From this point westerly to the east curbline of "B" Street Northwest. 15th Street Northwest, north and south sides, beginning at a point where the centerline of North Division, when extended northerly, intersects 15th Street. From this point westerly to the easternmost edge of SR 181 (West Valley Highway). 16th Street Northwest, north and south sides, beginning at a point where the centerline of North Division, when extended northerly, intersects 16th Street. From this point westerly to the east curbline of "B" Street Northwest. 29th Street Northwest, both sides, from its intersection with "M" Street Northwest to its eastern termination as a cul-de-sac. 30th Street Northwest, north and south sides, beginning at a point where the centerline of North Division, when extended northerly, intersects 30th Street. From this point westerly to the east curbline of "B" Street Northwest. 37th Street Northeast/Northwest, north and south sides, from the east end of SR 167 bridge over -crossing to Auburn Way North. 44th Street Northwest north side, beginning at a point 155 feet east of the east curbline of D Street Northwest, thence easterly to a point 212 feet east. "A" Street Northwest, east side, from the north curbline of West Main Street to the south curbline of 1st Street Northwest. "B" Street Northwest, east and west sides, beginning at the north curbline of 14th Street Northwest, thence northerly to a point 292 feet north of the north curbline of 30th Street Northwest. "C" Street Northwest, west side, beginning at a point where the west curbline of "C" Street Northwest intersects the north curbline of West Main Street, thence northerly a distance of 175 feet. "C" Street Northwest, east side, beginning at a point where the east curbline of "C" Street Northwest intersects the north curbline of West Main Street, thence northerly a distance of 225 feet. "C" Street Northwest, both sides, beginning at a point 340 feet north of the north curbline of 3rd Street Northwest, thence north to a point where "C" Street Northwest intersects the south curbline of 15th Street Northwest. "D" Street Northwest, west side, beginning at a point 228 feet north of the north curbline of Main Street and thence continuing north 123 feet. "F" Street Northwest, east side, between the north curbline of Main Street and the south curbline of 2nd Street Northwest. "G" Street Northwest, east side, beginning at the north curbline of Main Street and extending north to the end of the paved street a distance of 260 feet. North Division Street, west side, beginning at a point 21 feet south of the south curbline of 1 st Street Northwest, thence southerly 67 feet. West Main Street, north side, beginning at a point where the west curbline of "H" Street Northwest intersects the north curbline of West Main Street, thence westerly a distance of 206 feet. West Main Street, north side, beginning at a point where the west curbline of "C" Street Northwest intersects the north curbline of West Main Street, thence west to the east curbline of "D" Street Northwest. West Main Street, north side, beginning at a point where the north curbline of West Main Street intersects the west curbline of "A" Street Northwest, thence west 140 feet. West Valley Highway, both sides, beginning at a point 860 feet south of the south curbline of 15th Street Northwest, thence north to a point 809 feet north of the north curbline of 26th Street Northwest. Section 2. Severability. If any section, subsection, clause, phrase, or sentence, of this Ordinance, is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional, such invalidity or unconstitutionality of the remaining portions of this ordinance, as it is being hereby expressly declared that this ordinance and each section, subsection, clause, phrase, or sentence, hereof would have been prepared, proposed, adopted, and approved and ratified irrespective of the fact that any one or more section, subsection, clause, phrase, or sentence, be declared invalid or unconstitutional. Section 3. Administrative Authorization. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directions of this ordinance.
