Backqround Summary: In 2002, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 5707, providing for the City's fee schedule and authorizing amendments to it through Resolution. At the time, the City had in its city code w~rious sections identifying different fees and charges for certain actions within its municipal function. The replacement of code sections with a specific and identifiable City of Auburn Fee Schedule provides an easier user-friendly resoume, but also saves the expense and inconvenience by those using the fee schedule. In the course of reviewing fees, and in keeping with the philosophy of setting fees in amounts reflective of actual costs, it is appropriate to revise and amend the fees and charges for City permits, actions and facility extensions. Additionally, in keeping with the approach initiated with the implementation of the Fee Schedule, Ordinance No. 5819 amends various sections of the City Code, deleting fees that are then inserted in the fee schedule.
