RESOLUTION NO.3 7 2 2
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AUBURN, WASHINGTON, INITIATING STREET VACATION
PROCEEDINGS AND SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING TO
CONSIDER THE VACATION OF AN ALLEYWAY LOCATED
SOUTH OF 1ST STREET SW AND WEST OF SOUTH
DIVISION STREET, WITHIN THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON
WHEREAS, the City of Auburn, Washington, has determined through an evaluation of its
needs for streets and right-at-ways located south of 1st Street SW and west of South
Division Street, that said stretch of City right-ot-way is no longer needed to meet the
needs of the City and that a public hearing should be s'et to determine if said right-of-way
-should be vacated; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 35~79.010 of the Revised Gode of WSlshington, a

hearing on such vacation shall be set by Resolution, with the date of such hearing being
not more than sixty (60) days nor less than twenty (20) days after the date of passage of
such Resolution~
NOWt THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES as follows:
Section 1 ~ That a hearing o~ the vacation of an alleyway located s~Duth of 1 st
Street SW and west of South Division Street, located within the City c)f Auburn,.
Washington, legally described as follows:

THAT PORTION OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF THE
SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 13, TOWNSHIP 21
NORTH, RANGE 4 EASTt W.M.t IN KING COUNTY,

BEGINNING AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF LOT 1,

SITUATE IN THE CITY OF AUBURN, COUNTY OF KING,

and as shown on the document attached hereto. marked as Exhibit "A" and incorporated
herein by this reference, is hereby set for 7:30 p.m. on the 7th day of June, 2004, at the
City Council Chambers at 25 West Main Street, Auburn, Washington, 980~)1, with all
persons wishing to speak to the vacation at the public hearing being invited to ~Ittend.
Section 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such adrninistrative
procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directives of this legislation, including
posting notice of such public hearing as required by State law and City Ordin~lnce.
