City Council to approve Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $14,917 to Contract 04-09 with Doolittle
Construction Co., Inc., for work on Project No. C301A, Pavement Preservation – Non-Classified Streets
(Chip Seal Program).
Background Summary:
This project will chip seal various roads in the City of Auburn.
Due to the contractor’s low bid for this project and the availability of budget, staff recommends increasing
the amount of roadways to be chip sealed (see attached map). This increase of $14,917 from the original
construction bid is within the current budget and will not increase the duration of the project.
A project budget contingency of $44,368 remains in the 001 - Street Maintenance Budget.
