Background Summary: Resolution No. 3741 authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to execute a Local Agency Agreement and supplemental agreements between the City and the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) to obligate and appropriate the expenditure of $863,981 in Federal Aid funds for Project No. C307A, Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Improvements. Recently, WSDOT approved Federal Aid funds in the amount of $863,981 for Project No. C307A. Resolution No. 3741 authorizes the Mayor to execute a Local Agency Agreement and supplemental agreements approving the use of these funds for design, and potential right-of-way acquisition and construction. This ITS effort includes interconnect and coordination for signals along the Auburn Way South (SR164) th and South 277 Street corridors. Also, this project includes traffic management cameras, fiber optic interconnect and related hardware between strategic intersections on Auburn Way South (SR164), South th 277 Street and the City Traffic Management Center (M&O Facility). This project is required for efficient special event traffic management and incident management.
