City Council award Contract 04-14, Project Number C402A, 2004 Pavement Preservation - Arterial, to
ICON Materials, on their low bid of $286,540.00.
Backqround Summary:
This is the annual pavement preservation program for arterial streets and this year's project includes the
reconstruction of Auburn Avenue from 3rd Street NE to 5th Street NE and resurfaces the remaining portion
of Auburn Avenue from 3rd Street NE to Main Street.
Storm Improvements have been incorporated into the reconstruction of a portion of Auburn Avenue, and it
is anticipated that a project increase of approximately $18,658 within the Storm Fund will be necessary;
however, it will not require a budget adjustment due to deferment of Comprehensive Plan Project BC-14
(conveyance improvement on 21st Street SE from K Street to R Street SE, and R Street SE from 21st to
25th Street SE), which has a budget of $1 ,300,000, but will not be constructed this year.
