Background Summary: Resolution No. 3773 will amend the City's fee schedule relating to building permit fees. It was determined that it is necessary to add additional building code fees to the fee schedule. It is now appropriate to revise and amend the fees and charges for City permits and actions and facility extensions, specially dealing with building code fees. NOW THEREFORE, and pursuant to the authority granted in Ordinance No. 5707, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES as follows: Section 1. AMENDMENT TO CITY FEE SCHEDULE. ---------------------------- Resolution No. 3773 October 12, 2004 Page 1 That the fees in the City of Auburn Fee Schedule for building permits (section C of the Fee Schedule) shall be amended as set forth on the partial fee schedule attached hereto, marked as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by this reference, and the City Clerk is directed to include and incorporate such amended fees in the City of Auburn Fee Schedule, consistent herewith. Section 2. GENERAL SEVERABILITY. That if any provision of this Resolution or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held to be invalid, the remainder thereof or the application thereof to other persons or circumstances shall not be affected. Section 3. IMPLEMENTATION. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directives of this legislation. Section 4. EFFECTIVE DATE. Fire Code Permit Fees The fee for each activity requiring a permit issued under the provisions the International Fire Code Section 105.6 shall be as set at $56.00 per hour with a minimum charge of $56.00. There shall be no charge imposed for routine annual fire prevention inspections. Fees Permit fees shall be assessed in accordance with this section. Fees specified shall be adjusted for inflation each year based upon the Seattle Consumer Price Index. Fees shall be rounded down to nearest whole dollar. Appeal Fees The fee for appeals of codes adopted pursuant to ACC chapter 15 shall be $100.00. Exhibit A, Resolution No. 3773 City of Auburn Fee Schedule Page 4 Plan Review Fees When submitted documents are required by section 106.3 of the Construction Administrative Code a plan review fee shall be paid at the time of submitting the submittal documents for plan review. Said plan review fee shall be 65 percent of the building permit fee as shown in Table 1-A. The plan review fees specified in this section are separate fees from the permit fees and in addition to permit fees. Temporary Certificate of Occupancy Fees. There shall be a fee equal to ten percent of the building permit fee for issuance of a temporary certificate of occupancy. Fee schedule for administrative procedures and miscellaneous inspections.
