AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AMENDING AUBURN CITY CODE
TITLE 13 ENTITLED "WATER, SEWERS AND PUBLIC
UTILITIES" FOR THE PURPOSE OF REVISING THE 'TAKE OR
PAY" WHOLESALE WATER RATES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Purpose. The purpose of this amendment is to incorporate
changes in the "Take or Pay" wholesale rates. The water utility rates are being
amended to conform to the Interim Water Sales Agreement between the City of
Auburn and Covington Water District and Water District No. 111.
Section 2. Auburn City Code Chapter 13.06, entitled "Water Utility —
General Regulations," specifically Section 13.06.360 entitled 'Rates —
Generally" is hereby amended to adopt rate changes effective March 1, 2005,
as follows:

Effective as of the first full billing cycle after January 1, 2005, the monthly rates for
water supplied by meter shall be as follows:

Section 3. Implementation. The Mayor is hereby authorized to
implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out
the directions of this ordinance.
Section 4. Severability. If any portion of this Ordinance or its
application to any person or circumstances is held invalid, the remainder of the
Ordinance or the application of the provision to other persons or circumstances
shall not be affected.
Section 5. Effective date. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and publication, as
provided by law.
