Administrative Recommendation:
City Council approve an all -way stop control at Lakeland Hills Way and Mill Pond Drive.
Background Summary:
An all -way stop control has been requested at the above -referenced intersection. The intersection does
not meet warrants for an all -way stop control as defined in the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
Due to the sight distance and geometrics configuration of the intersection, advance warning beacons and
a red flashing light are necessary if all -way stop control is approved. Additional improvements are
necessary to accommodate pedestrian crosswalks at the intersection.
The Auburn City Council has the authority to approve placement of stop signs that are not warranted by
engineering standards.
A budget adjustment in the amount of $37,810 from the 102 Fund will be required this year to fund the
project.
