Administrative Recommendation:
City Council approve an all -way stop control at 53rd Street SE and Randall Avenue.
Background Summary:
An all -way stop control has been requested at the above -referenced intersection. The intersection does
not meet warrants for an all -way stop control as defined in the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
Due to the sight distance and geometrics configuration of the intersection, advance warning beacons and
a red flashing light are necessary if all -way stop control is approved.
The Auburn City Council has the authority to approve placement of stop signs that are not warranted by
engineering standards.
A budget adjustment in the amount of $7,500 from the 102 Fund will be required this year to fund the
project.
