Background Summary: In December 2004 the City of Auburn accepted an "Application for Annexation" from Val Vorozhko (32214 116th Ave SE) for a single parcel that he and his wife own which is located on the east boundary of the city limits. The parcel (#1682500010) is slightly less than one acre and is presently occupied by a single- family dwelling. The Vorozhko's plan to subdivide their property. City staff prepared the annexation petition. In January the City received the signed petition back from Mr. And Mrs. Vorozhko. On February 17 the King County Assessor certified the petition was sufficient to meet the statutory requirements for the 60% petition method of annexation. The next step in the annexation process is to submit an "Intent to Annex" to the King County Boundary Review Board. If the review board approves the annexation, an ordinance will be prepared to adopt it.
