Administrative Recommendation:
City Council award Small Works Contract 04-27, Project Number C308A, Sidewalk Improvements Project,
to Serpanok Construction, Inc. on their low bid of $118,908.
Background Summary:
The purpose of this project is to repair or replace broken sidewalk that could be considered a safety
hazard throughout the downtown area, as well as rechannelize 3rd Street from Auburn Avenue to C Street
NW, and install a mid-block crosswalk with a new luminaire to improve safety. Please see attached
vicinity map for project locations. Construction is anticipated to begin the end of May 2005 and be
complete in July of 2005.
A project budget contingency of $1 ,847 remains in the 102 fund.
