City Council approve an all-way stop control at F Street SE and 25th Street SE.
Background Summary:
The intersection of 'F' Street SE and 25th Street SE is currently stop controlled for the eastbound and
westbound directions and free-flowing north and southbound. This intersection is on the safe walking
route for Pioneer Elementary and Olympic Jr. High School.
An all-way stop control has been requested at the above referenced intersection to improve pedestrian
safety along the designated walking route, and if approved, will be installed as part of a project that will
construct walking paths along 'F' Street SE. The intersection does not meet warrants for an all-way stop
control as defined in the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
The Auburn City Council has the authority to approve placement of stops that are not warranted by
engineering standards.
