Administrative Recommendation:
Council consider and pass the attached ordinance to effect the Vorozhko annexation.
Background Summary:
In December 2004 the City of Auburn accepted an "Application for Annexation" from Val Vorozhko (32214
116th Ave SE) for a single parcel that he and his wife own which is located on the east boundary of the
city limits. The parcel (#1682500010) is slightly less than one acre and is presently occupied by a single-
family dwelling. The Vorozhko's plan to subdivide their property.
The Vorozhko's returned a signed 60% Petition that the King County certified was sufficient to meet the
statutory requirements for annexation. The City Council held a public hearing about the annexation on
May 2 and authorized staff to file the City's intention to annex the property with the King County Boundary
Review Board (KCBRB). The KCBRB reviewed the annexation and approved it. Attached is an
ordinance to effect the annexation on September 1, 2005.
