Administrative Recommendation:
City Council approve Final Pay Estimate #3 to Contract 05-14 with Northwest Asphalt, Inc. and accept
construction of Project No. C502B, 2005 Citywide Patching Project, Non-Classified Streets.
Background Summary:
This project consisted of excavating and replacing the badly damaged pavement areas on the streets
indicated on the attached maps in preparation for an overlay using the Save Our Streets fund. This
project was physically complete on August 23, 2005.
The project went over the original bid amount due to the expansion of the SOS program for this year,
additional curb replacement, and thicker asphalt patches than originally estimated to match the existing
pavement.
A project increase of $30,961.46 within the 103 fund will be necessary; however it will not require a
budget adjustment since it is anticipated that the budgeted expenditures in the 103 fund will not be
exceeded this year for all SOS projects.
