Background Summary: For the past five years, the City of Auburn has been a part of an Interlocal agreement in support of efforts in the development of a habitat plan to recover Threatened Chinook Salmon. The plan was completed earlier this year, but there continues to be a need to implement the plan. This resolution will allow for the City to extend the Interlocal agreement for one additional year, but with significant savings from past years as we leave the planning stage and begin to implement the plan. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute an extension of the ILA between the City and the other participating jurisdictions within the WRIA 9 (Green/Duwamish and Central Puget Sound basins) for an additional term of one (1) year, ending December 31, 2006. The budget for this extension effort is set forth in Exhibit "A" hereto. Resolution No. 3921 October 11, 2005 Page 1 of 2 Section 2. That the Mayor is authorized to implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directives of this legislation. Section 3.
