The boundaries of the proposed annexation included the Community of Christ Church along with two adjacent parcels. In August 2005 the City received two signed petitions representing 68% of the assessed valuation of the three parcels. The owner of the parcel at 31822 116th Avenue S.E. did not sign a petition because he is not in favor of the annexation. He requested that his property be excluded from the annexation. The City Council complied with his request and removed his property from the annexation. The City Council held a public hearing about the annexation on October 3rd and authorized staff to file the City's intention to annex the property with the King County Boundary Review Board (KCBRB). The KCBRB reviewed the annexation and approved it. Attached is an ordinance to effect the annexation on February 1, 2006.
