Background Summary: This work proposes to procure and install equipment that provides the City with the ability to better manage the traffic cameras that are being installed as part of the ITS system. Installation will occur at two locations: the ITS equipment room at the City M & O facility and at City Hall. Northrop Grumman is proposing to install three additional computer servers at the City M & O facility. These computer servers will enable staff to accomplish the following: - Provide internet web streaming capabilities - Record video 'feeds" for a 24 hour period - Allow the viewing of multiple camera images at one time - Create camera "groups" that allow the user to open all cameras along any corridor - Provide an integrated user interface that promotes efficient manipulation of the cameras At City Hall, Northrop Grumman is proposing to install two plasma PC displays on the second floor in the Transportation Engineering section. These displays will enable staff to view multiple camera images at one time as well as provide a better way to manage the ITS system as a whole. Northrop Grumman will also provide informal training to City Staff and assist City IS staff with website integration in order to make images available to the public via the City of Auburn website.
