Background Summary: The City of Auburn and the area surrounding Auburn is presently served by the Auburn Regional Medical Center (ARMC). The proposed annexation by Valley Medical Center would cover areas presently served by ARMC and would cause ARMC to offer fewer services. It is expected that the annexation would significantly increase property taxes of property owners in the annexation area. Resolution No. 4016 expresses the concerns of the City Council related to the impacts and effects of such annexation and the pursuit of the annexation in an escalated time -table that has not given adequate time for sufficient consideration of all impacts.
