City Council grant permission to advertise for bids for Project No. C310AO, Veterans Memorial Park
Building.
Background Summary:
The purpose of this project is to replace the existing building at Veterans Memorial Park. The existing
building is in very poor condition and has served the community for over 50 years. The proposed 1875
square foot building will provide an 1100 square foot community meeting/rental space, restrooms as well
as offices for the Local American Legion Post and the King County Veterans Affairs.
The total project construction cost is estimated to be $235,000 Funding is through the Municipal Park
Fund ($100,000) the State of Washington ($50,000), King County $50,000) the American Legion
($110,000) as well as small private donations..
