Background Summary:
NW Hangars has constructed new hangars on their land lease dated 8/15/05, Resolution No. 3894 area
at the Auburn airport. They are planning on installing gas service to the hangars. PSE requires the city
to grant a 10' easement for the gas line. This resolution allows the Mayor to sign the agreement with
PSE.
The easement will be located on the northern 10' of the Auburn Flight Service land lease, amended on
8/15/05 via Resolution No. 3893. Auburn Flight Services is in agreement with this easement.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN
EASEMENT WITH PUGET SOUND ENERGY TO
INSTALL A GAS SERVICE LINE AT THE AUBURN
MUNICIPAL AIRPORT
WHEREAS, NW Hangars has constructed new hangars on land which
they leased from the Auburn Municipal Airport pursuant to a lease dated August
15, 2005, approved by Resolution No. 3894; and
WHEREAS, NW Hangars is planning to install gas service to the
hangars; and
WHEREAS, Puget Sound Energy (PSE) requires the City to grant a 10'
easement for the gas line; and
WHEREAS, the easement will be located on the northern 10' of the
Auburn Flight Service property leased from the Auburn Municipal Airport; and
WHEREAS, Auburn Flight Service is in agreement with this easement;
and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to grant an easement for the purposes
stated herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON HEREBY RESOLVES as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Auburn are herewith
authorized to execute an Easement in substantially the form of the agreement,

a copy of which is attached hereto, denominated as Exhibit "1" and made a part
hereof as though set forth in full herein.
Section 2. Implementation. The Mayor of the City of Auburn is hereby
authorized to implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary
to carry out the directions of this legislation.
Section 3. Effective Date. This resolution shall take effect and be in
full force upon passage and signatures hereon.

For and in consideration of One Dollar ($100) and other valuable consideration in hand paid,
("Grantor" herein), its successors and assigns hereby conveys and warrants to PUGET SOUND ENERGY,
INC., a Washington Corporation ("Grantee" herein), its successors and assigns for the purposes hereinafter set
forth, a nonexclusive perpetual easement over, under, along, across and through the following described real
property ("Property" herein) in County, Washington:
SEE EXHIBIT "A" ATTACHED HERETO AND BY THIS REFERENCE MADE A PART HEREOF.
EASEMENT LOCATION: Except as may be otherwise set forth herein, Grantee's rights shall be exercised upon
that portion of the Property (the "Easement Area" herein) that is ten (10) feet in widtn having five (5) feet of such
width on each side of the centerline of Grantee's systems located as constructed or to be constructed, extended or
relocated on the Property, except those portions of the Property occupied by existing building footings,
foundations, and/or subsurface structures.
1. Purpose. Grantee shall have the right to use the Easement Area to construct, operate, maintain, repair,
replace, improve, remove, and enlarge one or more utility systems for purposes of transmission, distribution and
sale of gas and electricity. Together with the right of access over and across said Property to enable Grantee to
exercise its rights hereunder. As used herein, the term "systems" shall include all appurtenances and facilities as
are necessary, in the judgment of Grantee, for the operation and maintenance of said systems.
2. Grantor's Use of Easement Area. Grantor agrees not to erect any structures on said Easement Area, and
further agrees not to place trees, rockeries, fences or other obstructions on the Property that would interfere with
the exercise of Grantee's rights herein.
