Administrative Recommendation:
City Council approve Final Pay Estimate No. 2 to Contract 06-16 with Duchess Construction, Inc., and
accept the construction of Project No. C317D, GSA Ballfield Lighting Project.
Background Summary:
The project installed aCity-purchased MUSCO Ballfield Lighting System at the GSA Ballfields, located at
the intersection of C Street SW and 15'h Street SW. These lights will allow for the park to be utilized for
games during the evenings making for a more efficient use of the facility.
A project increase of $37,000 within the 321 Municipal Park Construction fund balance will be necessary
to cover the additional expenses associated with the project, which included new PSE service, an
electrical cabinet upgrade, wiring, and contractor fees; however, it will not require a budget adjustment
since it is anticipated that the budgeted expenditures in the 321 Fund will not be exceeded this year.
