Renovation -Synthetic Turf, to Sportexe, on their low bid of $685,722, plus Washington State sales tax of
$61,029 for a total contract of $746,751.
Background Summary:
At their April 2ntl meeting, Council granted permission to solicit bids for the renovation of the soccer fields
at Game Farm Park from the current dirt/clay fields, which will be demolished, and will be replaced with
fields covered in synthetic turf. This is a two-phase project, divided into the preparatory earthwork and
the installation of the turf material.
Contract 07-05 covers all materials and installation of artificial turf on a prepared soccer field sites.
Three bids were received (see the attached bid tabulation form), with a range of $766,589 - $685,722 for
the Base Bid before tax. The low bid was 11/4% below the A8E estimate for this portion of the work.
