to Northwest Asphalt, Inc. on their low bid of $372,763.00.
Background Summary:
This project will repair and overlay Auburn Way between 4th St NE and 4th St SE. The project is intended
to provide a roadway surface with roughly a 5-year lifespan. The work will include extensive patching and
grinding of the existing roadway surface, followed by the installation of a pavement fabric and 2 inch
asphalt overlay. Construction for this project is anticipated to begin in September 2007 and be completed
in October 2007.
For this project, an Authorized Contingency above the standard 5% is necessary as the amount of
pavement repair may change during construction activities.
A project contingency of $361,237 remains in the REET fund.
