Background Summary:
Resolution No. 4235 assigns new addresses for the aircraft hangar buildings at the Auburn Municipal
Airport.
ACC 15.52.055 vests the authority for changing addresses with the City Council.
The proposed addresses were presented to and discussed with the Planning & Community Development
Committee on September 10, 2007 and the Municipal Services Committee on September 17, 2007 and a
public hearing on the proposed address changes was held October 1, 2007.

RESOLUTION NO. 4235
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AUBURN, WASHINGTON ASSIGNING NEW ADDRESSES
TO EACH AIRCRAFT HANGAR BUILDING LOCATED AT
THE AUBURN MUNICIPAL AIRPORT
WHEREAS, Auburn City Code (ACC) Sections 12.52 and 15.52
concerning the naming of streets and the assignment of specific building
addresses provides authority to the building official to develop and administer the
City's Addressing Policies; and
WHEREAS, those policies are intended to create a uniform system for
assigning addresses to buildings within the City; and
WHEREAS, ACC Section 15.52.055 provides that petitions for address
changes may be initiated by a City department; and
WHEREAS, the City of Auburn Finance Department has requested an
address be assigned to each aircraft hangar building at the Auburn Municipal
Airport; and
WHEREAS, the public safety representatives of the City's address
committee are in concurrence with the building official that the petitioner's
request will not inhibit public safety; and
WHEREAS, the City Code provides that such requests are decided by the
Auburn City Council; and

WHEREAS, ACC Section 15.52.055 states that prior to acting on any
proposal to change a building number, the City Council shall conduct at least one
public hearing; and
WHEREAS, on October 1, 2007, the City Council conducted a duly
noticed public hearing regarding the proposed address assignments;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE as follows:
Section 1. BUILDING ADDRESS ASSIGNMENTS. The building
addresses for the aircraft hangar buildings at the Auburn Municipal Airport shall
be assigned as shown in Attachment A.
Section 2. IMPLEMENTATION. The Mayor of the City of Auburn is
hereby authorized to implement such administrative procedures as may be
necessary to carry out the directions of this Resolution.
Section 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. That this Resolution shall take effect
and be in full force upon passage and signatures hereon.
