A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AUBURN, WASHINGTON, FORMALLY ACCEPTING A GRANT
FROM THE STATE OF WASHINGTON, MILITARY DEPARTMENT
IN THE AMOUNT OF SIXTY EIGHT THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED
FIFTY THREE DOLLARS AND FOURTEEN CENTS ($68,653.14)
AS REIMBURSEMENT FROM THE FEDERAL EMERGENCY
MANAGEMENT AGENCY AND THE STATE OF WASHINGTON
FOR EXPENSES INCURRED BY THE CITY OF AUBURN
DURING THE DECEMBER 2006 WINTER STORM
WHEREAS, the City incurred expenses for emergency response
activities related to a severe winter storm December 14-15, 2006; and
WHEREAS, the President of the United States declared a major disaster
for those dates, making available monetary assistance through the Federal
Emergency Management Agency and the Washington State Legislature
included additional funds for said event in the 2007 State budget; and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Military Department, Emergency
Management Division has approved payment to the City of Auburn in the
amount of Sixty Eight Thousand Six Hundred Fifty Three Dollars and Fourteen
Cents ($68653.14) from both sources.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Purpose. The Auburn City Council does hereby accept the
Washington State Military Department, Emergency Management Division offer
of a grant in the amount of Sixty Eight Thousand Six Hundred Fifty Three

Dollars and Fourteen Cents ($68,653.14) as reimbursement of expenses
incurred during the December 2006 storm event.
Section 2. Implementation. The Mayor of the City of Auburn is hereby
authorized to implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary
to carry out the directions of this resolution.
Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution shall take effect and be in
full force upon passage and signatures hereon.
