City Council approve Change Order No. 5 to Contract with CP0608A Earthwork - T. J. Sahli Construction
for the Game Farm Park Soccer Field Renovation and accept construction of Project No. CP0608A.
Background Summary:
This project provided for all of the earthwork (grading, paths, etc.) preparation for the Game Farm Park
Soccer Field Renovation. Construction was completed in early September and play has been vigorous
since that time.
The original contract amount was 435,000.00. Five change orders were attached to this contract:
Change Order No. 1 (5,000.00) Change Asphalt walkways to concrete
Change Order No. 2 11,920.00 Add excavating and top rock to fields
Change Order No. 3 9,400.00 Additional concrete walk and bleacher pad
Change Order No. 4 4,140.00 Add 5 days for getting layout info/field approval
Change Order No. 5 11,200.00 Remove walkways to access irrigation lines and
reduce berm areas on west side of field. Added
fill materials.
Additional fill materials were required to achieve sub-grade and became Change Order 5 (per attached
letter from SLA Architect). The contractor imported fill materials in the areas, where designed asphalt
pathways were eliminated from the project and replaced with concrete, and to bring the site up to grade.
No additional time was added to this project. The cost of this Change Order No. 5 is $11,636.80 with tax
less retainage. With the acceptance of this change order, the contractor has fulfilled his responsibilities
for this project and we request acceptance of the project.
